Dog Waste Notice
NOTICE
TO: Homeowners/Residents of Lorton Valley
FROM: Lorton Valley HOA Board of Directors
SUBJECT: Community Policy – Cleaning‑up of Pet Waste
If you are a dog owner and you or your children walk your pet around the neighborhood, or simply allow your pet to defecate in your yard, you are reminded that you MUST clean‑up after your pet no matter where it does its business! We are experiencing too many instances of residents ignoring this simple but vitally important community rule.
IT IS A MATTER OF COMMON COURTESY AND HEALTH!
IT IS ALSO A COURT‑ENFORCED OFFENSE.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
Dogs are NOT allowed near or in the Tot Lot play areas! On several occasions children have gotten dog waste on their shoes and/or clothing. These areas have been posted “No Dogs Allowed.” Shortly we will be installing pet clean‑up stations in select areas around the community. We expect you to use them.
If you observe someone violating community rules and regulations kindly remind them of their responsibility. Or, simply identify (address, name, etc.) the individual and contact the HOA Management Customer Service at 703‑385‑1133 (ask for our on‑site manager Randy Kline, M–F 9–5) or send an email to rkline@armstrong.net with the information.
We are determined to get this problem under control. Violators will be aggressively pursued to the limits of community, local, and state laws and regulations: loss of community privileges, fines, legal action (eviction of pets, personal eviction, etc.) are options we have available to us.
For those who are committing these actions have the decency and self‑respect to clean‑up after your dog.
For the majority of you who already abide by this rule we thank you.
